(i) Admission Session: - The LL.B. Course shall be spread over three academic sessions – January to December each year and there shall be annual examination at the end of each session known as LL.B. Final Examination respectively.
(ii) Eligibility: Graduates (in the 10+2+3 pattern) of any discipline securing at least 40% marks in the aggregate at the Graduation level shall be eligible to apply for admission into Three-Year LL.B. Course.
Admission into the Course shall strictly be on the basis of merit determined on the basis of the performance of the eligible candidates at the written Admission Test to be conducted for the purpose by the University of Burdwan.
(iii) Intake & Reservation: The intake capacity of students in the course is about 120, i.e., 60 in each section. The reservation would b e subject to the rules relating to reservation as may be in force from time to time. The medium of instruction and examination of the LL.B. Course shall be English.
FIVE –YEARS INTEGRATED B.A. LL.B. (HONOURS) COURSE
(i) Admission Session : The Five-Years Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Course shall be spread over five academic sessions – July to June every Academic Year and there shall be annual Examination at the end of each academic session known as Part –I, Part-II, Part-III, Part-IV and Part-V Examinations respectively.
(ii) Eligibility: At the time of admission to the first year class of the course the candidate concerned has either passed the Higher Secondary Examination under 10+2 pattern or its equivalent Examination securing at least 407 marks in the aggregate.
Admission shall be made on the basis of merit to be determined by performance in the Admission Test to be conducted every year by the University of Burdwan from the candidates who have appeared in the H.S. or its equivalent examinations in the current year or passed the H.S. or its equivalent examinations within two preceding years with 40% marks in the aggregate.
(iii) Intake & Reservation: The intake capacity of students in the course is about 80 in each section. The reservation would be subject to the rules relating to reservation as may be in force from time to time. The medium of instruction and examinations of the course shall be English.
This is the first Master Degree Course in the Discipline of Arts that this College has launched with the affiliation of the University of Burdwan and what is notable is that the aspirants of this course are to obtain the Post Graduation Degree in Social Works from this College in conformity with the directions of the University of Burdwan from time to time. (i) Admission Session: - The M.S.W. Course shall be spread over two academic sessions (comprising of Four Semesters), from July to June each year and there shall be Final Examination at the end of each Semester (comprising of six months). The notification for the admission in the first Academic Session 2008-2009 for First Semester would be published by the Office of the Secretary, Faculty Council (Arts), University of Burdwan.
(ii) Eligibility: - Graduates (in the 10+2+3 pattern) of any discipline with minimum 50% marks in respective discipline.
(iii) Intake Capacity: - The intake capacity in the First Semester is primarily 25.
